It may be necessary to remove a chimney entirely if the chimney is no longer in use or if the brickwork has been removed from the surrounding area of the chimney. Over time, the cement between the bricks can wear; this causes water damage to the bricks. When pointed up with new mortar this problem is solved and the chimney is strengthened.

Chimney sweeping will remove any blockages, including birds nests and in turn reduces the risk of any fires breaking out from these materials.

Our capping process blocks off the opening of the pot, preventing access to birds and water. This process is reversible to allow full use of the chimney at a later time.
